Art materials: All necessary supplies will be provided. You can bring a notebook if you wish.
What to wear: Please wear clothes that can get messy. And bring your jacket, we may step outside.
Young artists: You may be accompanied by your parents. Everyone who is younger than 18 will be required to have written permission from their parent or legal guardian. Please request the form.
Fees: You can pay at the door with cash, check or money order. If using credit cards, use our donation form on the website and bring your receipt with you. These are donations to Albus Cavus, a 501(c)3 organization.
Location: The Fridge located in the rear alley at 516 8th Street SE, Washington DC, in walking distance from Eastern Market Metro Station.
Directions from Eastern Market Metro: Make a right onto 8th Street SE. Enter the alley on left side of the street, across the street from Matchbox Restaurant. The Fridge is the colorful building in the alley. You cannot miss it.

About Albus Cavus Classroom
Albus Cavus Classroom will be open every weekend for 20 weeks (January - May 2010) at The Fridge, an artist space on Capitol Hill. The instructors are the artists whose murals are all around the city: in Edgewood, Columbia Heights, and Pleasant Plains. The student artists will learn and work on actual public art projects; murals and sculptures. The will get hands-on experience with innovative techniques and current approaches to public art process. http://albuscav.us

The Fridge DC is a new art gallery, performance space, and art school that offers full scholarships for children of low-income DC area residents. Our mission is to foster creativity and community dialogue; provide exhibition space to emerging and established local artists; host programs and activities that encourage public awareness, participation, and appreciation of the arts and to serve as a catalyst for social change.
