SUICIDE BOMBERS

GHOSTPAINTER
By Brian Doyle
"Andy is a down-on-his-luck abstract artist. He tells his agent Kel they need to sell Andy's next piece or they're both out of a job. Kel's resulting ploy -- with the help of a surprise guest -- gets Andy more publicity than he expected."
BRIAN DOYLE started writing with a story about an inchworm when he was six years old, and he never stopped since. He was determined to be the next Hemingway until he realized that by writing plays he could make perfect strangers act foolish in public. Brian's acquaintance with theatre became much more intimate when he encountered the most beautiful and talented woman he had ever met: his future wife McCall. The two became inseparable, and Brian continued learning about the theater by repeatedly sharing the stage with his gorgeous gal and seeing or being involved in roughly two hundred plays in the last four years. Since dedicating himself almost exclusively to playwrighting in 2006, Brian has written seven full length pieces (with three more on the way) and about twenty one acts. Brian's plays deal with everything from a mother's death to a papal conspiracy involving designer shoes. Brian's most recent play Dead Weight won Best Original Script and Best Original Production at the Maryland State One Act Festival in January 2010.
